About
I am a commercial operator, founder, and advisor shaped by markets in transition.
For more than three decades, my work has focused on how businesses grow when markets, buyers, technologies, and routes to market are changing — across enterprise technology, healthcare software, industrial, and consumer markets.
The work has ranged from enterprise-scale commercial leadership to building a company from zero, with experience across direct sales, partner and GSI-led growth, category building, recurring-revenue models, platforms, and AI-era commercialization.
The perspective is shaped by combinations that rarely sit in one career: enterprise scale and founder reality, direct sales and ecosystem leverage, category formation and operating execution, advisory work and accountability for the number.
That combination shapes how I look at commercial problems: not as separate sales, product, pricing, or partner issues, but as parts of one commercial system — how the business creates demand, reaches the market, captures value, and executes.
Experience behind the perspective
My operating work has covered direct sales leadership, category P&L ownership, country commercial operations, global go-to-market redesign, partner-led scale, GSI business incubation, and recurring-revenue transition.
The work has included growing an under-invested category to market leadership, shifting a large business from transactional selling toward managed services and recurring revenue, redesigning routes to market across 50 countries, and building enterprise partner motions around services, software, platforms, and AI-enabled transformation.
I have also worked on AI-era category formation — connecting technical capability to enterprise use cases, ecosystem roles, executive relevance, and repeatable commercial adoption.
Building a healthcare software company from research-originated IP added the founder perspective: trust, monetization, institutional adoption, and no inherited commercial machine.
Mentoring founders, early-stage companies, and small businesses keeps me close to product-market fit, positioning, attracting talent and investors, and the first repeatable growth motion.
Why the combination matters
The useful part is not the range of experience by itself.
It is the way the pieces connect.
Commercial problems rarely sit inside one function. A stalled business may look like a sales issue, but the real constraint may be the offer, pricing logic, customer segment, partner economics, category narrative, or the route to market.
That is why I tend to look beyond the immediate symptom.
The question is not only whether the team is selling hard enough. It is whether the commercial model still fits the market the company is now facing.
Where the work often shows up
The work often appears when a business is moving into a new commercial stage. Examples include:
Business-model shifts
A product business needs to become a platform or solution business.
A transactional model needs recurring revenue, lifecycle ownership, and retention economics.
A direct sales model needs partner or ecosystem leverage without losing accountability.
Ecosystem and route-to-market design
A partner program needs clearer economics, governance, role definition, and field alignment.
A GSI motion needs to become a real enterprise route to market, not only relationship coverage.
New-stage commercialization
An AI, software, or services capability needs to become a repeatable commercial offer.
A founder-led business needs to move beyond individual selling into a repeatable go-to-market model.
A portfolio or post-acquisition company needs commercial diagnosis before redesign.
These are examples, not boundaries. The common thread is a commercial model under pressure from a changing market.
How I work with companies
I work with CEOs, leadership teams, investors, portfolio companies, and founders as a fractional CRO, interim CCO, operating advisor, or commercial mentor.
The work can be hands-on operating leadership or focused advisory, depending on the situation.
For a more detailed view of how I diagnose and rebuild commercial models, see the Method page.
